Two musical ensembles at UL Lafayette will be wrapping up the 2008 season soon.
The UL Lafayette Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Dr. William Hochkeppel will perform April 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom. This free admission event is billed at “Cabaret Night” and will feature table seating, Big Band jazz and refreshments. All refreshments will be sold for $1 with money raised going to fund music programs and scholarships.
The UL Lafayette Wind Ensemble also under the direction of Hochkeppel will perform May 8 at 7:30 p.m. in Angelle Hall. This free concert will feature music by Fisher Tull, David Maslanka, Leonard Bernstein, Warren Benson, Steven Bryant, Vaughn-Williams and Persichetti.
