Dr. E. Joseph Savoie
President
  Dr. E. Joseph Savoie became UL Lafayette’s sixth president in July 2008.

He is former Commissioner of Higher Education for the State of Louisiana.

The new president has strong ties to UL Lafayette. Prior to his appointment in 1996 as the state's Commissioner of Higher Education, he served in many roles on the UL Lafayette campus, including vice president for University Advancement, executive director of the Alumni Association, program director for the Union Program Council and student government advisor, as well as an adjunct assistant professor.He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in education from UL Lafayette and earned a doctor of education in educational leadership and administration from Columbia University's Teachers College in New York.

Dr. Steve Landry
Vice President for Academic Affairs
  Dr. Steve Landry became vice president for Academic Affairs in March 2000, after having served as vice president for Research since 1997. He is responsible for ensuring high quality instruction and research. Academic deans, among others, report directly to the academic vice president.

Landry has served as vice president of the Louisiana Experimental Programs to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) and as a member of the Louisiana Board of Regents Electronic Learning Committee and the Louisiana Partnership for Technology and Innovation. He is a member of the boards of directors of the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, and the Enterprise Center of Louisiana.

Mr. Raymond Blanco
Vice President for Student Affairs
  Since 1982, Raymond "Coach" Blanco has served as vice president for Student Affairs. He is responsible for coordinating various non-academic departments which relate directly to the well-being of UL Lafayette students. The vice president also serves as a liaison between the student body and the university.

Departments under Blanco's supervision include Career Services, Counseling and Testing, Greek Affairs, Housing, Physical Plant, Student Health Services, Parking and Transit, Child Development Center, Student Personnel, International Student Office, Intramurals, Student Union, University Police, Dean of Students, Auxiliary Services and the Student Athletic Center.

Ms. Della Bonnette
Vice President for Information Technology
  As vice president for Information Technology, Della Bonnette is responsible for the administration of the technical support and outreach areas on campus. Those include Computing Support Services, Continuing Education, Edith Garland Dupré Library, Information Networks (voice and data), KRVS radio station, the Marine Survival Training Center, Media and Printing Services, the Microscopy Center, the Office of Information Systems and Institutional Research. Bonnette was named to the post in December 1996.

Dr. Robert Stewart
Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies
  Dr. Robert Stewart is vice president for Research and Graduate Studies. He is responsible for overseeing sponsored research, graduate studies, technology transfer and other economic development activities, and the operation of most research centers on campus. In addition, the vice president works closely with local, regional, state, and national business, governmental, and industrial leaders to secure funding, equipment, services and other resources.

Stewart is former director of the USGS National Wetlands Research Center. His federal career started with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in 1974. In 1979, he became the leader of the service’s National Coastal Ecosystems Team, which evolved into what is now the NWRC.
