Mathematics Placement Exam Schedule

Questions regarding placement and credit should be directed to Ross Chiquet in 213B MDD, at 337-482-5290, or by e-mail to rchiquet@louisiana.edu

Calculators (except those with symbolic manipulators, such as the TI -89, TI-92, HP48G) are allowed on all placement exams.
A picture ID and #2 pencils are required.

To qualify for an advanced credit exam a student must have an ACT mathematics score of 26 or higher
or written permission from the Mathematics Department.


Spring 2012


MATHEMATICS ADVANCE CREDIT EXAM
You must have an ACT math score of at least 26 or permission from the Mathematics Department to take this exam. Qualified students may take this exam once.

Wednesday, January 4 at 8:00 am in MDD 211 (2 hours)
Bring ACT scores, picture ID, and pencil.

Makeup: Tuesday, January 17 at 3:30 pm in MDD 210 (2 hours)
Bring ACT scores, picture ID, and pencil.

FRESHMAN PLACEMENT EXAM
This exam is for students whose ACT math score is 20 or less who wish to place into MATH 092, 100, 105, or 107.

Wednesday, December 14 at 8:00 am in MDD 201 (1 hour)
Monday, January 9 at 8:00 am in MDD 201 (1 hour)
Bring picture ID and pencil.

Makeup: Tuesday, January 17 at 3:00 pm in MDD 211 (1 hour)
Bring picture ID, and pencil.

INTERNATIONAL MATH EXAM

Monday, January 9 at 8:30 am in MDD 211

Makeup: Tuesday, January 17 at 3:30 pm in MDD 210
